The Kenyan Samuel Wanjiru (photo) ran a world record in 2007 in The Hague. He finished on the Lange Voorhout in a time of 58.33. The finish is nowadays at the Malieveld. This historic achievement confirmed the international reputation of the biggest sporting event in The Hague. The course guarantees fast times and many personal records.
